President of the Austrian Patent Office visits the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office

On 24 June 2024 the President of the Austrian Patent Office, Mr Stefan Harasek and his delegation visited the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office (HIPO). The delegation was received by Mr Szabolcs Farkas, President of HIPO. The parties overviewed the latest developments of the offices and the perspectives of further cooperation. The director of the Visegrad Patent Institute also participated at the meeting. The agenda included the national qualification system for patent attorneys in Austria and Hungary, IP valuation and IP backed financing, women in IP, IP strategies, education and cooperation with universities to raise IP awareness, as well as the priorities of Hungary during the EU Presidency.
